Italy : May 5th: an opportunity to discuss article 32 on International Cooperation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. - 2007-04-22

AIFO and DPI Italia are putting together a two-hours roundtable to discuss, in depths, what will hopefully be at the basis of the work of all the actors involved in development cooperation activities.

The timing is quite appropriate given that the Italian Government, together with the civil society, is re-drafting its law in the field of International Cooperation.
We will discuss the role that the government, Regions and Local Authorities, Universities, DPOs and NGOs can and will play in re-shaping the Italian approach at the international level.

Aware of the crucial importance that civil society plays for the sustainability of interventions, AIFO and DPI Italia chose to insert this event in a FIERA of the third sector where it is hoped to involve the highest number of NGOs.

The panel of experts includes:
  • Fiorenza Bassoli, Italian Senate*
  • Francesco Bicciato, City of Padova
  • Luciano Gonnella, UNOPS/ART*
  • Agostino Miozzo, Italian Civil Protection
  • Urbano Stenta, Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs*
  • Andrea Micangeli, CIRPS Università La Sapienza – DPI
  • Paolo Pardo, Region of Liguria
  • Fabrizio Pizzanelli, Region of Toscana
  • Rossana Preus, Region of Emilia Romagna
  • Diego Vecchiato, Region of Veneto
